I'm a survivor!!!

I have a love for ducks (Duck was my first word) So yesterday when I went over to my parents house to work with my horses I noticed there was a duck laying by the trampoline (My parents tramp is one that is buried underground, so it's level with the grass) So I sat and watched her for a while. My Dad came outside and wondered if she had ducklings and if they had fall in under the tramp....we went and looked and sure enough there were 3 little ducklings stuck underneath.

My Dad told me to jump down there and hand them up to him....so being the obedient daughter that I am and my love for cute little furry ducklings I did just that! I was crawling around on my hands and knees chasing the little ducklings all over the place and I finally was able to catch #1. I handed it up to my Dad, he set it down on the grass so momma duck would realize we were trying to help. I caught #2 proceeded to hand it up threw the hole to my Dad when momma duck attacked him...(I still had the duckling in my hand) Momma duck then came under the tramp and started attacking me....I set the duckling down and started crawling as fast as I could and jumped out of the hole!

Whew, It was close one! I was almost gobbled up by a Duck ha ha!

So now we have #1 duckling hiding in a bush...Momma duck & #2 & #3 stuck under the tramp!

My Dad went and got a fish net...crawled under the tramp and caught Momma Duck....while I proceeded to try and catch #2 & #3

I caught #2 sent it up threw the hole and onto the grass....but it decided it would like to come and fall under the tramp again....so I caught #2 again & #3 and held them until I got out of the tramp, went and put them by #1

My Dad had ahold of Momma Duck and crawled up threw the hole and let her go.

Ta-da! Mission accomplished :) I'm so glad that I survived...

Momma Duck and her ducklings live in our bush...so we set out some water and grain :)

After I got done working with the horses I went over and checked on them & the little duckies were swimming in the water!

They are so cute :)
